Madisyn, we celebrated your 11th birthday. You no longer want to hold my hand in public, or spend many days without the presence of your friends. Your friends I'm thankful for....but, you're still suppose to hold hands with your mama. I swear, I really love holding hands... so this is really heart breaking for me. We had you a Kentucky Derby themed birthday party. It was such a cute party, we all love dressing up!
Mrs. Joyce always does such a wonderful job with your birthday cakes.
You really do have the most precious friends. As parents, we often brag on how well mannered and spiritual you girls are. You and your friends are never too embarrassed or prideful to pray aloud at any given time throughout the day. I can't tell you enough how rewarding that is for us parents.
Most importantly, we were able to celebrate Easter. I know ,without a doubt , you know the importance of Easter. What a wonderful life our Savior has given us. Although your dad and I fail him and you daily, I couldn't imagine raising you girls without teaching you about the Lord, raising you in his house, and being ungodly parents for you. You girls deserve the best and it might not always seem like it, but we try to give you everything in life you need (not want). Most of all, you teach us just as much about God as we do you! Here is our Happy Easter!
Then there was Mother's Day....I know this should be a really special day for all moms, but I think you girls should know that I feel this special every day, because God chose me to be your mom! On another note, your dad and I are fortunate to have such wonderful moms and you grandmothers. I can't imagine life without these two women. They have reared, and helped mold your dad and I to be the parents we are today!
This verse describes me best before I became a mom to you girls. I'm sure you know I'm not perfect, but I was a lost soul before you came along. Once again, I'm thankful Jesus forgives us daily...I would be up a creek if he did not forgive us and love us unconditionally
You were lost sheep with no idea who you were or where you were going. Now you're named and kept for good by the Shepherd of your souls
1 Peter 2:25
Thank you girls for also forgiving me as I fail you daily on being your mom!
Well Madisyn, you graduated the 5th grade. Can you read the sadness in my voice as I write this? You graduated with A B honor roll for the year!!!! Your dad and I, along with the rest of the family, are extremely proud of you. You are a remarkable, sweet, loving, caring little girl! I will never forget as we were on our way to school the last day of your 5th grade you said " Mama, this year has gone by so fast, I wish my life would just slow down some" of course I started shedding tears as you spoke these words.. It seems as if it were yesterday you were fighting us saying your name wasn't Madisyn Booise or how you were rocking your little voice to Small Town Southern Man. Gigi did such a good job with your program!
Here is your last day of 5th grade. You are just as pretty on the inside as you are the outside.
Next, we went on vacation to Gulf Shores with nana and papa, and it rained the entire time. The best part about our trip was spending time with our family and friends and daddy got a real live mullet! You know how much I love mullets, they are seriously so much fun! Braylee and Macie had so much fun together, and I'm so glad they got this opportunity to spend with each other. Madisyn, as we were going through the little town of Macon you asked your dad and I if Jamaican people live there and then you said you bet they use the phrase "you macon me crazy" Get it mama??? You are soo my child!
Here is pictures of everybody's new do
Seriously, I think my husband is so precious in his mullet, you are smoking hot baby Girls don't kill me.
Finally....you girls finished VBS last night and are enjoying summer every day! you loved VBS as always, and what a blessing it is to be part of such a wonderful church! We absolutely adore our church and everything about it! Madisyn and Braylee, you both think the world is coming crashing down on you if we miss a Sunday or Wednesday..<------- For this I'm thankful! See, this is exactly what I'm talking about when I tell you, you girls are also raising us. Braylee, you came home from VBS and told us you need money for Jesus.. I asked you what exactly is it for and you said "so the kids can have clean water". The next day I asked you if you remembered to give your money to your teacher and you informed me your teacher was taking your money to Jesus and he was going to give the children all the clean water. There is nothing like child like faith!!
Braylee, your little heart just keeps growing each day with love. I have to say your two's and three's stage scared the dog mess out of me. As you get older you are the sweetest , most caring, loving child THANK YOU JESUS! You love your family so much and tell us about 100 times a day! You often grab our faces for 1000 kisses and still tell us "I love you all the way to the fairies and rainbows"!
