Give Me A Pure Heart

My sweet babies, it's been a month since my last post to you...forgive me.. What a wonderful Christmas we had! It's such a blessing watching you grow and seeing all that you conquer on a daily basis! You girls have super powers that you don't even know about yet, in your mama and daddy's eyes anyways!
You are cutest in your jammies. If I could keep you in your pj's all day I seriously think I would!
This Christmas was definitely one I will always remember (as every Christmas). Geez, It's so hard for me to accept the fact that you girls are growing up...In the blink of an eye. Always remember that no matter how old you are, you're never too old to want your mama (which is why I called your nana crying at 28 years young). Unfortunately, the Santa talk happened this year it still makes my stomach turn thinking about it. Madisyn and I had a bed talk...You know these are usually the best heart to hearts when you and your babies are laying across the bed giggling and talking about whatever they want to talk about. Well, this heart to heart was just a pisser for this mama. I had the most sparkling honest eyes looking into mine telling me to tell her the truth about santa aaahhhhhhhhhh.  Nothing I said was coming out right.. I tried my best to be as spiritual as I could about it..totally confused my precious 10 year old so I knew I had to stop, take a deep breath and tell her the truth......It just sucked! Afterwards, I cried and felt guilt in my heart, and your daddy totally made me fly solo on this talk! Madisyn and I just have this bond where we love to tell how we feel about something, which is one reason I write this blog for the girls and we keep a journal and write sweet letters and bible verses back and forth in! Anyways,I knew I couldn't leave her hanging with a simple "No"... so I searched and googled and talk to a dear friend (Thank you Jessica for our Kroger talk) and this is what I wrote to Madisyn in regards to our last bed talk (parents please share when this happens to you)
On to my happy place....
I love our silly moments! You're perfect girls in a not so perfect world! I often want to close the doors to our home and bar up the windows to keep you safe and pure!
Your nana is going to kill me for posting this picture of her ! You know you have everyone wrapped with your ways if you can make nana go hood! It happened ...true story! I get tickled every time I see this picture!
This Christmas at nanas you came across this bear! This bear is worth no amount of money. This bear was given to you by daddy....The very first time you two met! I can remember this day like it was yesterday..It was also the very first day daddy met nana and papa as well! I can remember daddy walking into the door with a teddy bear in one hand(for you) and flowers in the other hand (for me)! we then took you to eat at Islandmarada! Daddy really is our saving grace!
Braylee, you're going to be the best little mama! You treat all your babies like princesses! You melt our hearts with these killer baby blues you have!
This is at awards day...Yes, these two are still trucking along! I refuse to let them know how cute they really are....daggummit! I'm a believer that I will be worse than your daddy when you girls start dating... I will be the one the boys hate to meet..Sorry Madisyn and Braylee, that's just the way the cookie crumbles!
This was by far the best new years ever! We did absolutely nothing that required a new years eve outfit and heels! It required sweats and a pot of coffee...That's the good stuff!
How did I get so lucky to conquer life with this hottie?

My new years resolution was not to eat healthy, work out, or stop smoking (joking, you know how bad I hate cigarette smoke) It was to pray harder and maintain a pure heart...So now I pray hard that I can beat everyday battles and keep my heart as pure as possible.. If my heart is purer, I feel like it will help me be a better wife and mom to the most important things in my life!
Love you most, love mama and daddy!
